Neon flex sign generator

What this generator does

It takes your drawing as a single-stroke SVG and builds the whole sign in 3D: the channel with the exact measurements of the neon flex you bought, the base, the end caps and everything needed for the part to come off the printer ready to assemble. No modelling and no CAD knowledge.

It works with the two neon flex systems that exist: the 1st generationone, solid silicone that presses into the channel, and the 2nd generationone, where the strip lies flat on the bottom and the silicone acts as wall and diffuser.

The calculation happens on your own computer, not on a server of ours. That is why every change shows up instantly and why looking at it in 3D is free and needs no account.

What comes out of the file

• Channel made to measure. Width, depth and wall thickness to match your strip, so it presses in and does not rattle.
• Split for your bed. If the sign does not fit your printer, it splits where the joint will not show and comes out already separated.
• Mounts and ties. Hanging holes where the sign can take it, and joins where it was going to snap.
• Diffuser cap and hidden wiring. Pass-throughs, tunnels and conduits on the inside. Part of the Expert plan.
• Bill of materials. How many metres of neon flex to buy and where to cut it, so you can quote without guessing.

How to use it

You upload the SVG, match the channel to your neon flex and download the STL. If it is your first time, the video in the Learn section shows it from start to finish, including how to prepare the single stroke in CorelDRAW.

What file do I need

An SVG with an open stroke, not a fill. This is where everyone gets stuck the first time: if you upload text without converting it to curves you get a solid slab instead of a channel. It is explained in the frequently asked questions.

Do I have to pay?

To see the sign in 3D, no. To download the STL you do need an account, and the first download is a gift. After that, from 15 dollars a month with unlimited downloads and no lock-in.
